Wax and propolis

by Kelleen
(Colorado)

I just bought some propolis freshly harvested from my local bee keeper. I ate some of it and had the hardest time getting the wax off of my teeth and roof of my mouth. Is it safe to eat this wax or do I need to separate it somehow?

Angela's Comments:

This is the nature of raw propolis Kelleen. It is safe, it is just waxy by nature. Consider using a tincture instead. It won't cause this same level of trouble with ingesting it.
