Menopause and period restart

I have been taking bee pollen for the past two weeks, love the the energy boost, I am menopausal and have not had a period for almost a year and a half, I woke up with my period yesterday, it is light but I want to be sure this is safe and normal, did the bee pollen cause this and will it continue?

I want to restart my period!
by: Anonymous

i am 52 and haven't had a period in 6 months. I would actually like to have it start again as I don't want to go into menopause yet. Are you saying taking bee pollen in high doses can possibly help me? if so what is a dose I could try?

Bee pollen causing period
by: Angela

Yes, it is likely the bee pollen. I have seen this in rare cases. What I recommend is to back your intake of bee pollen way down to 1/4 of what you are currently taking. Keep it hear for two full months to see if your period returns. If it doesn't, you know it was just a dose thing. You can then consider increasing your dose if you'd like.

It is unknown why this occurs in some people who take pollen.
