Local, raw honey and Allergies

by Katie
(Houston Texas)

I recently moved to Texas from Idaho and have had allergies so bad that it has felt like I have had the flu for two months straight. I just found some local raw honey and started taking a teaspoon full tonight. How long should I expect to have to wait before I see a difference with the allergies???

Great question Katie. It takes time for the immune system to develop immunity to the pollens in the honey. In some it can work quite quickly and you may feel relief in several weeks. In others it can take several months so be patient.
