Collecting & using bee pollen from my own hives

by Brent
(Northern Utah USA)

I got started with my own bee hives just a few short years ago and enjoy every minute of it. "Real" honey fresh from my own hives is amazing. This year we have decided to add pollen traps to a couple of hives just to see what it all about. Can you tell me how to use and store any pollen that we collect? Thanks.

Hi Brent,
Fresh pollen will be high in moisture so you'll need to either consume it, dry it (freeze dry or air dry) or simply freeze it until you'll be consuming it. Fresh pollen is amazing - enjoy!
