Bee pollen for hot flashes?

by Edie A.

I read an article by Dr. Gott(Newspaper) and I am taking bee pollen for hot flashes (Age 54) . It has worked but I think it expanded my fibroids and I put a few pounds since I sarted using it. I went from 135 to 142 pounds. I was taking about 1/4 cup 3 times a day for several days. I went down to about 2tbs per day and it's still working. I would like to also take it for energy. I lift weights every other day and jog about 3 miles per day and I also train on the elliptical for 20-30 minutes everyday.

I am not sure how much I really need to take for my condition and needs without worrying about gaining weight from it.

Angela's Response:

Hi Edie,
Great question. I am familiar with Dr.Gott's work and his books based on not eating any sugar or flour to lose weight. I have had much success using bee pollen for hot flashes with women and you should be able to reduce your dose of bee pollen even further. We have had success eliminating hot flashes with women taking much less bee pollen than you currently are so try reducing the amount down 1 teaspoon twice per day. If your hot flashes return, you can up your dose again and try other means to reduce body fat. There are several supplements I can recommend for you in this case.
