Bee pollen and Warfarin?
by Irina
(Tucson, AZ)
My sister's valve was replaced and now she is on Warfarin. Can she eat pollen or royal jelly? Do they effect the blood thickness? Thank you. Irina :) Angela's Comments: Bee pollen does contain several compounds which may thin the blood, including rutin. As far as I know, Royal Jelly will not thin the blood. I am not able to say whether or not bee pollen and royal jelly are safe to take along with Warfarin. I would suggest consulting a Naturopathic Doctor or asking a licensed Pharmacist as I am not trained in any way in pharmaceutical drugs or their side effects. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.
