I'd be very surprised if the Omega's are causing you to gain weight. They actually cause the opposite in most people. How much of the Omega oils are you taking each day?

Weight gain and hemp oil
by: Anonymous

I started taking two tablespoons of unrefined hemp oil about a month ago. I have gained one pound a day for this period. I have been seeing Doctors to find the cause of this weight gain. No reason could be found. Now at this site I see that it can be the hemp oil. This I did not mention to the Doctors. All the weight gain seems to be held in the lower abdomen.

Putting on weight with omega oils
by: caz

i am taking hemp seed oil - 1 tblspoon and bee pollen but am putting on weight, i want to lose it so i stopped hemp but my skin is looking dry.

Angela's Comments:

That seems very odd. I don't believe the hemp seed oil or the bee pollen is likely the cause. I suspect something else is going in that is causing the weight gain. I suggest making a food diary for the next 2 weeks while monitoring your weight. If it continues to rise then you can make adjustments to your nutrition. Let me know if your weight continues to go up. I would stay on the bee pollen and hemp for now until you are done the food diary.
