Hello,
i purchased raw propolis from different bee keepers over the past year or so. i noticed a difference in smell, texture and how long the propolis stays while chewing on it before it starts breaking up into smaller pieces.
would that indicate that some are not genuine or not of good quality?
one of them had a pleasant smell to it, and also would last longer while chewing and would be quite sticky on teeth.
while others had closer to a thyme like smell maybe and would be sticky but not as much, and would not last as long while chewing before it breaks up. i also noticed that its color changes from dark brown to light brown or dark grey after chewing.
is this normal for raw propolis? or could indicate that one is of lower quality?
than you!
