Liver disease and fresh pollen

Can people with liver disease take fresh pollen?

Angela's Comments:

Hi Chris,
Great question. I need to preface my response with the standard disclaimer - I am not a Dr. and this should not be taken as medical advice. You should always let your Dr. know what supplements you are taking, especially in a case like liver disease.

With that out of the way, I don't see any reason why you couldn't. Bee pollen is not 'hard' on the liver, it is simply a healthy food. Taking a Tylenol or another medication is likely much more toxic on the liver than bee pollen ever will be.

The thing to be more conscious of here is the drugs you might be taking. If you are on large amounts of medications, there is always the chance that there could be an interaction to be aware of. I can't tell you how these drugs will interact - only a pharmacist or your Dr. can so that would best be asked of either one of them.

Hope that helps,
Angela
