Honey before bed?

ARE THERE BENEFITS TO TAKING HONEY BEFORE BED? I READ THAT IT CAN HELP WITH WEIGHT LOSS AND A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP. DOESN'T EATING OR CONSUMING ANYTHING BEFORE BED PUT UNNECESARY STRAIN ON YOUR ORGANS?

IS RAW HONEY SAFE, CAN IT BE CONTAMINATED, SOME FLOWERS ARE POISONOUS?

Great questions. Yes, there are some health benefits to ingesting raw honey before bed. YOu'd only be consuming a teaspoon or tablespoon at most so this small amount of food would not stress the digestive system at all. Have a small amount of carbohydrates before bed can assist in the production of serotonin, which is a precursor to melatonin - the sleep hormone!

Yes, honey can be contaminated but the honey's we carry are highly unlikely to be so as they are tested to ensure no contaminants are in the honey.

Natural honey when consumed prior to bed, is believed to be able to fuel the liver, speed up fat-burning metabolism, ease stress hormones and help us get a better night’s sleep. Fresh bee’s honey when diluted in water provides a re-hydration to the body.
