Expiration date for bee pollen granules?

I recently bought bee pollen in the granule form, from a reptuable source. I notice the item was "manufactured in Aug 2012". Is this product still good/not expired?

Thank You - Stacy.

Angela's comments:

That depends on how it was stored Stacy. If it was kept away from heat and moisture, it might be ok. Generally we have a two year best before date on our bee pollen so this is pushing it. Keep in mind the pollen isn't likely to have gone rancid - it more likely has lost some of its nutritional value but is still likely safe to consume.

If you can, take it back and exchange for a newer bag.

Bee healthy,
Angela
