Bee Pollen storage

Bee Pollen is amazing, I get it raw and put it in a glass Mason jar..but how long is it good for? I know harvest is slim right now...and shouldn't we be taking the Pollen available in our geographical area?

Thank you..best site I have found :)

Sylvia

Hi Sylvia,
Thank you for your comments. Is the pollen you buy fresh or is it dried? If it is fresh, you'll need to consume it relatively quickly as there will still be moisture present and there will be a risk of it spoiling. If it is dried, keep it in the freezer for long term storage and it will last several years.

In a perfect world yes, we'd all consume bee pollen from our local beekeepers. Unfortunately, this is not possible for most people.

Bee healthy,
Angela
