I am considering a table spoon of Bee pollen in with my smoothy in the morning before I work out to help me increase my energy level. Is this realistic and is there anything I need to consider when starting to use bee pollen.

One tablespoon mixed in a smoothie is a very common dose and method of consuming bee pollen. I do the same each morning. So yes, this is a very realistic dose for you.
