Bee Pollen and Royal Jelly together?

by Karla
(New Brunswick)

I was wondering if I can take the Bee Pollen as well as the Royal Jelly - together?
I used to live in Puslinch, ON and visit your store often, now I live in New Brunswick and miss your product - I will be purchasing over the net.
Thank you.
Karla

Angela's Comments:

Absolutely you can Karla. In fact, I recommend it for the synergistic effect of the two.

Bee pollen, propolis and royal jelly together?

by Suzi
(CT)

Hello Angela

First of all, thank you for offering all this great information on your site.

I'm really torn as to what to purchase. My question is if you can mix different products safely. I would like to purchase all three mentioned above and to incorporate in my diet. Also, wondering if any should not be taken for pregnancy. (not pregnant yet just planning ahead).

Thanks for your help.

Suzi

Angela's Response:

Hi Suzi,
Yes, you can absolutely take all three products together. I do recommend that you start out with one and only add the second and third products after very gradually introducing them into your system with very small doses. Slowly work your way up to the full recommended intake but always monitor how you feel for any potential adverse reaction. And as always, let your Doctor know what you are taking. I took all three products (non-alcohol based propolis) during my pregnancy and had a very healthy baby. Many of our customers have used these products as well during this time but you should exercise caution and work with your Doctor, or better yet a Naturopathic Physician to determine what is best for you during your pregnancy.

Can I take bee pollen AND royal jelly together?

by Christie L.

Just wondering if bee pollen and royal jelly can be or should be taken together for more benefits?

Angela's Response:

Hi Christie,
You absolutely can take bee pollen and royal jelly together. In fact, I do recommend it as there seems to be a very strong synergistic effect when combining these two superfoods. There have been no studies to confirm this that I have come across but the feedback I get from our customers who use the combination is tremendous. It's a case of the sum of the two parts being greater than the individual pieces. Kind of like 1 + 1 = 3, not 2.

If you've never consumed either of these two products, as always start out with very low doses and slowly work your way up to the recommended dosage. I'd recommend that you read my article How to Take Bee Pollen before starting. It can be found at www.bee-pollen-buzz.com/how-to-take-bee-pollen.html.

Can I take bee pollen AND royal jelly together?

by Tracy
(Montreal, Canada)

Can you take bee pollen & royal jelly together...or is it one or the other?

In taking both would this change the basic dosage?

Angela's Response:

Absolutely, you can take both bee pollen and royal jelly together. In fact, it has been my experience that the two work together synergistically. (meaning that they work better combined than as individual supplements) I do suggest you begin by taking only one of the supplements for a couple of weeks (I recommend starting with the bee pollen) in low doses while working up to a full dose. Only then should you add in the second supplement and when you do so, start with a very small dose to determine tolerance and work up to a full dose.

I regularly mix my bee pollen granules and our Royal Jelly 3X powder into my morning protein smoothie with frozen fruit, a greens powder and EFA's. I feel fantastic!

With regards to the dose, it may or may not change how much you'll need to take. Without knowing what you're treating, I wouldn't be able to comment specifically. What I always suggest is 'less is better.' Always start low and work up towards the recommended full dose. Monitor your health/symptoms. If you are getting results below the recommended dose, stay there. If not, continue to work up to the full dose.

Can you take bee pollen and royal jelly at the same time?

by Julie
(Michigan)

Can you take Bee Pollen and Royal jelly at the same time, or is this a over load? My husband has liver problems (Hepatitis C from blood transfusions when he was a baby). I am looking at this as an alternative.

Angela's Comments:

You can absolutely take bee pollen and royal jelly at the same time. In fact, I often find that the two supplements work even better when combined - they seem to have a synergistic effect. Just be careful when starting out. Start with one supplement at low doses and work up to a full dose over several weeks. If you've experienced no adverse effects or allergy, slowly introduce the second supplement and again work up to a full dose over several weeks. As always, error on the side of caution and remember that more is not always better. Can I take bee pollen, raw hone and royal jelly together?

by paige
(seattle, wa)

I am brand new to raw bee products and am very interested in using the pollen, jelly and raw honey but am worried taking them all ( in the recommended doses of course) could be overload? I wanted to make sure there isn't any inproper ways of combinging these products before I order! Thanks

Hi Paige,
Great question. Many people take a similar combination of bee products like that what you've suggested. It has proven to be very safe over time. What I always suggest is start with one supplement and take it in small but increasing doses for 2 weeks. If you feel good and have no adverse effects, introduce the second supplement in very small doses. Again, slowly increase the dose of this supplement until you reach the full recommended dose. If you feel well taking the 2 supplements, add the third in the same manner. To be ultra safe, it might be wise to let your doctor or a holistic health care professional know what you are taking.

Hope that helps!

Angela
