Shelf life of bee pollen?
by: Anonymous

How can I tell if bee pollen granules taste off and aren't good? I don't know what they should taste/smell like if good.

Angela's Comments:

A good bet is to smell or taste for a mildew or moldy/rotten taste. Bee pollen typically has a bitter sweet taste to it, although this can vary from batch to batch and it can vary greatly. Also consider smelling it. Bad or off bee pollen can often gives off a rancid smell. If it is extremely bitter, this is an indication as well that it might be rancid or going rancid.

Bee healthy,
Angela
