Bee Pollen and Royal Jelly to help with infertility

by Mia
(California)

I've been reading on the internet that bee pollen and royal jelly together can help with infertility. My husband and I have been through failed IVF's and want to try to conceive naturally. I heard it might help with overall egg quality.

Angela's Response:

Great question Mia. While royal jelly and bee pollen haven't been studied by medical science for increasing fertility, there have been animal studies showing that rj can indeed increase pregnancy rates. I have listed two studies below. I can offer my experience dealing with clients and that has been that royal jelly and bee pollen do have a strong affinity for balancing/improving hormones. Royal jelly is known in the holistic world as a sexual tonic and used for treatment of impotence, infertility, and significantly increasing leutinizing hormone levels. If you do decide to try it, give this combination time to work. It will not work overnight - some re-balancing will need to take place. I have heard of people getting pregnant within weeks of taking royal jelly and I have also heard of it taking months, so be patient and let your body heal.

Royal Jelly Improves Pregnancy Rates

An experiment was conducted at the Jordan University of Science and Technology to determine whether natural royal jelly (RJ) paste administered orally or intramuscularly in conjunction with progesterone cream is associated with improved reproductive responses in ewes.

Thirty 3 - 6 year old ewes were randomly allocated into three (RJ-capsule, RJC; RJ-injection, RJI and control, CON) groups of 10 ewes each. They were then bred with male ewes and tested to determine ovulation times as well as pregnancy rates.

The scientists concluded that the results demonstrated both Royal Jelly treatments in conjunction with exogenous progesterone improved pregnancy rates.

While this study was done on animals, it does support the large amount of anecdotal evidence regarding the hormonal balancing properties of royal jelly.

Increase Sperm Count and Testosterone with Royal Jelly

This study didn't surprise me one bit since I've had so many of our clients tell me about the hormone balancing properties of royal jelly. But having more scientific proof is never a bad thing so here are the details.

Adult male rats who were given royal jelly experienced a significant increase in the weight of their testis and sperm counts as well as testosterone levels. They also experienced an increase in the percentage of live sperm while reducing the percentage of abnormal sperm.

The scientists went on to say that "Royal jelly is known as a sexual tonic and used for treatment of impotence, infertility, and significantly increase leutinizing hormone levels. This effect could be attributed to the central effect of royal jelly."

Thyroid medication
by: Lindsay

I really want to take Royal Jelly to try to help with fertility. My husband bought 500mg capsules. My thyroid was killed with a radioactive pill so I take thyroid medication for the rest of my life. I asked my PCP if it was ok to take Royal Jelly with my thyroid medication and she said she is not familiar with royal jelly. She did attempt to research it and said "It apparently increases metabolism and may cause increased absorption of your thyroid medication. Therefore, it does not sound particularly safe to take with thyroid medicine". I really don't want to listen to her because this stuff sounds amazing, but I also want to make sure my thyroid levels don't get messed up while trying to get pregnant. Wondering your opinion on this? Is it safe to take with my medication? Will it change my thyroid levels?

Fertility

by meredith
(nyc, ny, usa)

hi! im wondering what the Royal Jelly connection with fertility is? Ive read a lot online, but would like your first hand experience. Specifically with male infertility - any news there?

Angela's Response:

Hi Meredith,
There have been no studies done on human beings and royal jelly for fertility that I am aware of. The studies that I have read and posted on my site are all animal studies. However, the results from these animal studies are quite good and years and years of feedback that I've gained suggest royal jelly really does enhance hormone and fertility levels in both sexes. Many, many of our customers have gotten pregnant using it and many have fixed hormonal issues using royal jelly and bee pollen. So it might be worth a try...

Question on Royal Jelly vs Bee Pollen
by: Rachelle

Hello would someone with endo (estrogen dominance) take BOTH for fertility or would one be preferable over the other? Ie would you avoid royal jelly if you have endo? And how much would you take of each if both would be good to improve fertility?
thank you

Angela's Comments:

Royal jelly is the recommended product for fertility BUT i'd avoid it if you are dealing with Estrogen dominance. I would encourage you to deal with this first - use a product called EstroSmart Plus to help clear up the Estrogen dominance. You'll also need to make some lifestyle changes - search on avoiding synthetic estrogens and you'll find many recommendations.

Royal Jelly or Bee Pollen for Fertility?

by Jesse
(JHB)

Hi,

Which would you say is better to increase your fertility - Royal Jelly OR Bee Pollen?

Great question Jesse. Based on the studies that have been done as well as my personal experience, I would recommend using Royal Jelly for this. It is a great hormonal tonic. I will say that if you can use bee pollen WITH the royal jelly at the same time, you may experience greater results as these two products work in harmony with one another and have a strong synergistic effect.

Royal Jelly and fertility

by Jannah
(Canada)

I have done countless hours of research online about natural ways to conceive. Doctor prescribed clomid to induce a powerful ovulation, I prescribed myself R.J/bee pollen & Maca, as these supplements have NO side effects/future illness for mother & child. I will take it for 2 cycles & take the test again to see where my ovulation levels stand, I have no doubt that I will be producing healthier eggs by the end of summer. I have faith that everything GOD created will & has to work for our bodies, I don't personally know someone who has conceived on these supplements,(just dozens of online ladies) but I will sure be the first one to announce it when I have great news. Therefore, I suggest that you all do some research about these wonderful supplements, take my word for it, you will be shocked to learn what cures those greatest diseases.

Take care
Jannah

Royal Jelly and Fertility

by Sally

I know many who are taking Royal Jelly to help with fertility. What is the best kind to take and where to buy it? Also, does it interfere with thyroid medication if taken at least three hours after medication?

Angela's Comments:

I recommend our Royal Jelly 3X powder to those using Royal Jelly for fertility. It is a highly concentrated, therapeutic product.

You can buy it on our site here:

https://www.bee-pollen-buzz.com/royal-jelly-products.html#royaljellyconcentrate

And no, royal jelly should not interfere with your thyroid medications. To be sure, take it at least one hour away from each other. I'd also suggest running this by a good pharmacist as they know the interactions of medications best.

Bee healthy,
Angela

Royal Jelly for fertility

I have been doing lots of reading and studying n reference to fertility. I cleaned up my general diet a lot, but special supplements were not suggested to me while I used my Western medicines. I am now seriously contemplating royal jelly, maca, and green tea. Are these things okay to use together? Can you please help me? Thank you very much!

Michelle

Angela's Comments:

I see no reason why you couldn't take these three ingredients together but I do recommend you run this protocol past your pharmacist or a Naturopathic Doctor as they will know the unique interactions best. One thing I will say is that don't introduce all three ingredients into your system at the same time. Do this slowly and gradually.

Bee healthy,
Angela

Royal Jelly Power & fertility
by: Ana

Hi Angela,

I bought (online) Royal Jelly Powder to take as a food supplement to boost my fertility. However, when I received the item, the package said "Do not consume" and "For external use only" (I didn't expect that!).
I contacted the seller and I was told that, because they are a Skincare company and don't hold a food licence, they must advise not to consume their product. However, they guaranteed that the product is 100% natural and does not have anything added to it. Do you think it is still ok to take it as a food supplement?
Thanks,

That is very odd Ana. It is likely ok but I'm not sure if you want to take the risk. I only recommend buying royal jelly from Canada as they have the strictest nutritional supplement standards in the world. I do know from experience that there is a great deal of low grade royal jelly on the market that is loaded with toxins.

royal jelly in honey forum for fertility

by laney
(texas)

my husband and I are trying to conceive. I'm 47, but what the blood test and all says I'm good to go but we are still having problems. So, I found this product and I'm hoping it will work but the only forum I have been able to find was in Honey forum. Will this type of royal jelly is good as the freeze dried or capsules?

Angela's comments:

No, you need to use full strength capsules or powder. The amount of royal jelly in the honey is not high enough to have a therapeutic effect for you.

i found fresh Royal Jelly. So, is that going to be better then the pills or power?

Angela's comments:

Not necessarily. A quality freeze dried product is just as effective as a fresh product.

Fertility with royal jelly

by Ligia
(Corner Brook, NL)

Hello dear, I’m using royal jelly casually about 10 years. After moved to Canada last year from Brazil, I decided to keep using royal jelly here too but I was having difficulty to find in NL so after a time I discovered Bee pollen buzz and I ordered last year on September just to keep the health. My son with 9 and me usually have propolis and royal jelly and now my husband too. I’m 41 years and I have POS (Polycystics Ovaries Syndrome) so after 3 full months using fresh royal jelly every day, for my surprise and my husband too, I was pregnant! I wasn’t taking anything for be pregnant, just propolis and fresh royal jelly for maintaining my health. I wasn’t taking birth control for a long time because I didn’t believe I could be pregnant again. So I really encourage all women and moms to don’t give up from your dream to be mom! Take fresh royal jelly every day! In Brazil where I came from we just take with plastic spoon the royal jelly, no steel or iron or other types of spoons because we are warning that different types of spoons can change the PH of royal jelly. This is personal experience and hope this comment can help many people, not just women but men that wants take care the health. Not just for fertility but for a lot of benefits we know the honey, propolis and royal jelly is amazing for. Merry Christmas for all and God bless you!
