Proper dosage of royal jelly

Hello I have been taking bee pollen for a couple of months and now I purchased raw royal jelly and want to take both. My problem is the local bee keeper I bought from speaks limited English and he told me to take about 10 grains of pollen and to dip a toothpick in the rj and place under tongue. This is contradictory to the doses I am seeing here. Could you please clarify the dosages for me? They r both expensive and I don't want to waste them. Thank you nancy

Hi Nancy,
Did you buy a fresh royal jelly product? The beekeeper is definitely recommending a very small amount likely because fresh royal jelly is quite potent and it is best to start out small. Reactions are possible if you take too much royal jelly too quickly. I recommend taking a tiny amount to begin and only increasing if you tolerate it well. Increase in small increments up to a 1/2 teaspoon per day for general health.

Bee healthy,
Angela
