Maltodextrin?

by zan
(canada)

One of the ingredients of your capsules (for Propolis, Royal Jelly & Bee Pollen) is Maltodextrin. Kindly explain the source, safety, purpose, interaction with the bee products & possible side effects (if any) of such.

Thank you so much.

Angela's Comments:

Hi Zan,
Maltodextrin is a natural carbohyrdate from corn. It is a food that has a long history of safety and use in many supplements and food products. We simply use it to aid in getting the propolis into the capsule (propolis is very sticky by nature and can be difficult encapsulating or bottling).

There are virtually no side effects to consuming maltodextrin, provided you don't have a corn allergy or sensitivity.

Bee healthy,
Angela

MALTODEXTRIN CAUSE OF CANCER IN FUTURE
by: Anonymous

I AM USING THIS PRODUCT BUT MY FRIENDS SAID THAT THE MALTODEXTRIN WITH DE 20 WILL BE CAUSE OF CANCER IN FUTURE.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT KIND OF MALTODEXTRIN.
BEST REGARDS

Angela's Comments:

Hard to say whether it will be linked to cancer or not. DE is simply dextrose equivalent. The higher the DE, the sweeter the maltodextin is. Our malto is not DE 20.
