Kids taking bee pollen?
by Sherri
What a refreshing site of information. Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge you have. My 3 children are 11, 7, and 2 years of age. Though we love honey and eat honey daily, we have never tried the bee pollen. Is there a dose guideline for them? I would assume to start them with one granule a day. I am not sure if my 2 yr old would be able to hold one under her tongue however. Angela's Response: For kids taking bee pollen, we simply recommend they start out with one granule at a time and chew it. If they show no signs of allergy, we double the amount of granules each day until they work up to a 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per day. (the more they weigh, the more they can take) Always watch carefully and observe for signs of allergy though because in the rare cases of reaction, we often see people tolerate bee pollen well until the cross a certain dosage threshold and then they get symptoms. I also recommend you let your Doctor know that you are feeding them bee pollen or work with a Naturopathic Doctor.
