Giving propolis to cats/kittens with sneezing, clear runny noses.

The vet says this is a virus & she can give me nothing for it. I currently am using colloidal silver, elderberry & echinacea on them. Will propolis kill this virus, & if so, what dosage should I give for 1lb. to 15 lb. cats? Thank you, Mauri

Hi Mauri,
Propolis will certainly help. I have seen propolis kill viruses that nothing else would touch but it is difficult to say for sure how they will respond. I'm assuming you'd give your cats the powder. I would give them max. 100 - 250 mg per day.

Beware herbal remedies for pets. Elderberry in all forms is toxic to cats and dogs. It is a key ingredient in many herbal remedies for HUMAN use. Herbs can be just as dangerous as synthetic medications therefore do your research before assuming they are harmless. Don’t experiment on your pets.

it was an ingredient in kid's syrup sambucus along with echinacea, & elderberry. I have been giving each kit 6cc 3x per day, & it is helping. Thanks for your response. Mauri
